For Betatherm to be successful in penetrating strategic key accounts in our target markets (Aerospace, Biomedical, Communications and Instrumentation), we need equally focused, energetic and pro-active channel partners. Some of the key requirements of such an industry aligned and focused channel partner include:

  1. Geographical Coverage. We are looking for an organization that has sufficient personnel in the designated region to comprehensively cover the markets identified. This includes inside sales as well as field sales.

  2. Focused Approach. The channel partner should employ a systematic method of identifying and targeting key players within the 4 main market sectors via an intelligent filtering process and refined search parameters so as not to waste valuable time and effort. The result of which should be the development of a very strong project list.

  3. Growth Levels. Betatherm's plan is to continually achieve year-on-year sales growth and our channel partner should show a similar thirst for growth and an ability to achieve it.

  4. Knowledge and Skill Level. The channel partner will need to have a technically competent Sales Team with a strong ability to sell this technical product on a consultative basis. The Sales Team should be commercially aware Engineers who have a very good application knowledge base and understanding of the markets mentioned (e.g. continually observing and investigating market trends and developments). The organization as a whole should show strong account management skills and have a proven record of converting projects / quotes and winning business.

  5. Reporting and Communication. Regular formal reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis will be required from the channel partner. These reports will cover topics like performance reviews vs. agreed targets (Bookings + Billings), project and quote reviews (conversions, losses + actions required), issues and threats, competitive activity, market developments, customer visits and any promotional activities planned. It will be a 2-way communication system.

  6. Strategic Fit. Our "ideal" channel partner will view Betatherm as a vital element to their own growth and success. There should be no conflicts of interest, particularly in terms of the other products and principals represented by the organization. The partner should be willing to invest time, resources and effort into adopting the Betatherm business plan (where applicable). We are looking for a partner who has the energy, interest, resources, skill and ability to help us build our business together in a "win-win" style - a mutually beneficial relationship.
