ESA (European Space Agency) Qualified:

Betatherm has been manufacturing and supplying NTC thermistors to the European aerospace market since 1994. In 2001, Betatherm achieved full ESA (European Space Agency) Qualification and is the only Qualified European manufacturer approved under the QPL (Qualified Parts List) for thermistor components and probe assemblies. Betatherm has been recently assessed by a member company of European Aerospace Supplier Evaluation Association (ASD-EASE) in accordance with their rules & policies. The results of this assessment are available on EASIS, (European Aerospace Supplier Information System)

NASA Qualified:

The legacy YSI Temperature business acquired by Measurement Specialties focus is critical temperature measurement for the NASA/Aerospace industry. Legacy YSI Temperature has supplied 44900 Series Thermistors since 1974, when The Goddard Space Flight Center issued the GSFC S-311-P-18 specifying the performance requirements. We re-qualify this product line each year and screen every thermistor before stocking to ensure the highest quality possible.

Screening includes visual and mechanical requirements, thermal shock, high-temperature storage, insulation resistance, and additional resistance versus the temperature analysis, providing you with confidence that the component will perform to the rigorous requirements of space flight or other high-reliability applications. Customers often submit their own specifications that use our testing capabilities in combinations not included in the Goddard specification.

Thermistors procured in compliance with GSFC S-311-P-18 are identified by a specific Goddard part number with a 311P18 prefix, dash number for resistance and range, lead code, and lead length code. Components with S-Style leads 7.6 cm long are stocked.
